Favorite track: The road.

about

CITADEL

A musical project which began 2 years ago at the initiative of a single man: Meddy Beaufils (Machine, Orchestration),
joined a few weeks later by Jeff Grimal (Guitare, Singing, Artwork, exTGOO, Spectrale, Kesys).
It's a "2nd wave" Orchestral Black Metal project. We have many influences: Emperor, Dimmu Borgir (first album) or Der Weg Einer Freiheit and Enslaved.

We were looking for a drummer and bassist to expand the line-up,
this is how Leo Isnard (Drums, exTGOO, Spectrale) and Benoît Gateuil (Bass, Ænimals) joined us a few months after the start of this adventure!

The album contains 7 tracks, each track is the personal story of a character with a specific life path: 7 different points of view. It goes from the common murderer to the spiritual man.
All by mixing different universes that are science fiction, fantasy and of course, reality.

Citadel is a trans-regional project: Basque Country, Gironde.

REVIEWS

Review on METAL MINDED : www.youtube.com/watch?v=uW4z0bltzxw&ab_channel=MetalMinded

And finally another of the songs that I recommend is “ Look your pathetic attempts ” of an emotional, depressing melancholy and at the same time diabolical well-balanced atmosphere, where the symphonic arrangements are spectacular, I have to follow their steps, they will surely give something to talk about in the future.

EKLEKTIK : www.eklektik-rock.com/2022/05/citadel-remember-your-past/

Remember Your Past is not just dark or evil, but a musical representation of all the talent that emanates form those four metallers, and of course the insanity and obscurity from the human mind. In other words, simply join Citadel in their quest for extreme music, and let your darkest thoughts guide you while enjoying the epic Black Metal blasted by the band throughout their infernal debut opus.
